APC failed to stop Nyeson Wike political dominace in Rivers State.
Gov Wike has been a big figure in the Nigeria Politics, most especially in the face of the PDP rulling statew, being the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) National chairman.
The All Progressive Party (APC) has every reasons to stop Nyeson Wike back in 2015 River State gubernatorial election. It can be recalled how the Dr. Dakuku Peterside of the All Progressive Congress APC asked the electorial tribunal to cancel the gubernatorial election of Nyeson Wike of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who was intially declared as the winner of the 2015 Rivers State governorship election
Dr. Dakuku Petersides of APC summon wike to court and revealed that the election was held on the ground of fraught with malpractice and non compliance with the provision of the electorial act.
Gov. Wike claimed the hearing of the case must be held in Port-Harcourt the Rivers State capital, while the Judge of the court of appeal “Justice Zainab Bulkachawa” nolify Wike claimd and stand on her order that the tribunal must be held in Abuja for security reason.
After the court failed to summon wike, the presiding Justice “Muazo Pindiga” approved the rewuest dubmitted by one cansel to Dr. Dakuku Peterside of the APC and grant for subtituded service on Wike, because he has been evading all the petition against the election.
The All Progressive Party candidate thaught they had succeed when tge tribunal nolified wike election on 14th-October-2015 and ordered a rerun of thr said Rivers State Gubernatorial election with 90-days, but Wike in his wise decision quickly made a statement saying “I will make an appeal to the rulling of the tribunal”
The Rough Game of Wike.
It can ve recalled how Wike was awarded 1, 029, 102 votes out of the total accredited votes of 1, 228, 614 while this give Wike the green light of 87.77% of the total voates casted in the satw. It was another story when tge tribunal claim that the total number of accredited votes are 292, 878 base on eveidence received from the Independent National and Electorial Commision (INEC).
Though the public claim there were malfunction of card readers during the election which mightvhave lead to manual accreditation without the on car process.
However, it can be recalled that the INEC document was signed by Mr Ibrahim Bawa and Abimbola Oladunjoye as the INEC servee produced all the actual validated votes, exposing the manual accreditation and thereby render it impossible.
This was an enough evidence for the tribunal to nolify the election and order the rerun of the gubernatorial election with 90-days.
