Fg Says No Going Back On Wednesday Deadline For NIN Registration

The Federal Government on Sunday has say no going back on the fixed deadline date for NIN registration, every users of Subscribers Identification Modules, known as SIM-Card, are to linked their National Identinfication Number NIN as directed by the government in December.NIN

The Federal government has made it clear that the January 19th, deadline date, fixed earlier are still in force.

The NIN which is madatory for everyone with a SIM Cards and this includes, the diplomats who reside in the country, as well as for all other lawful residents in Nigeria.

The Director Public Affairs, NCC, Ikechuku Adinde, in a questions session with mewsmen, said the date still in force and nothing had changed, he also disclosed that there is no any new update for now and he assured the newsmen of comminicatimg with them if any changes arise.

It can be recall that in mid December 2020, the Federal government declared that it will block all SIMs that are yet to be linked with a valid NINs on the network of thier various telecomminications companies after December 30, 2020

However, the FG latter extended the deadline date from December 30, 2020 to January 19, 2020 following widespread oposition against the earlier annouced deadline date with a three week extention.
