The traditional ruler of Oruku town of Nkanu community in Enugu state is declared killed.

The late ruler, Igwe Emmanuel Chidiebere Mba was killed by strange men who disguised themselves as policemen from Abuja headquarters force.

The men were said to have drove in into the community with an SUV and Sienna ride and asked for the traditional ruler, who was at that moment addressing his kinsmen in a meeting.

Good indigenes who wasn’t aware of the intention of the supposed disguised police men, innocently accompanied the men towards the towns hall where the late Igwe was conducting a speech with his people and left, but unfortunately, one of the intruders shot the traditional ruler on the thigh.

The mayhem disorganized the meeting as everyone ran helter skelter for their lives.
The bleeding Igwe alongside with one of his loyalty, Mr Agozie Ani was taken away to a near by hospital for medical attention, but the Igwe was rejected due to lack of bed space.

The king was immediately transferred to an orthopedic hospital where he was declared dead. The men quickly disappeared taken away Mr Ani with them.

The death of the traditional ruler caused great pandemonium as youths of the Oruku town led a protest against the people suspected to be behind these mishappening, but they were curbed by the state police Officials who promised to investigate on the matter.
