Carabao Cup: Tottenham Raise Hopes




When it comes to top coaches with winning streak, Jose Mourinho must be spoken about, alongside Pep Guardiola, Jurgen Klopp and Carlo Ancelotti.


Though outspoken and a bit hard, Mourinho is one of the best coaches in the football world and he is the current coach of Tottenham FC, after being sacked from Manchester United for not producing good results. Tottenham has been quite impressive this season, winning most of their matches, against all odds.

Recently, Tottenham has had back to back defeats, against fierce rivals Liverpool and Leicester City. Liverpool match ended 2:1 in favour of the reds while their match against Leicester City ended 2:0 in favour of Leicester, which was quite dissapointing.

Since then, Tottenham has come under criticism, with some fans agitating for Mourinho’s sack. Totteham has also come under pressure to deliever results.


Tottenham went against Stoke City in the EFL Carabao cup final desperate for a win to encourage team players, officials and evwn their supporters. And yes, they showed us that they were fighter as they dominated the match. In the first half, Stoke City did not have any shot on target, as Tottenham dominated, had all the straight shots and maintained possession of the ball.

At the end of the match, Tottenham went home victorious and encouraged, as they beat Stoke with a seal-the-deal scoreline (3:1). After their win, Tottenham advanced to the semi final of the Carabao cup for a fighting chance to win the cup after twelve years. Tottenham has not won the Carabao cup for twelve years now.

Recently, Arsenal woes continue as crashed out of the Carabao cup competition, after being beaten 4:1(an heartbreaking scoreline) by Manchester City. Manchester United has also qualified for the Semi-finals, after stunning Everton with a 2:0 scoreline.

This year’s Carabao cup competition is going to be tough as top Premier league rivals are all in the Semi-finals. Manchester City, Manchester United and now, Tottenham. Who and who would get to the final and who would take the glory. Recently, United have been playing impressive football as they are currently sitting third on the Premier league table.

All teams are doing their best to also get a fighting chance for the champions league glory. Who would wear the crown?

The EFL and Premier league have been thrilling to watch this season, as every player and every official is trying to put their team in forefront.
