Just In!! Omah Lay Faces Arrest In Uganda!

Omah Lay

Nigeria’s fast-rising music artist, Omah Lay, has been recently arrested in Uganda for breaking covid-19 guidelines.

His apprehension was made public when the artist took to his social media account to disclose what he had gone through in the hands of the public authority in Uganda.

Based on what Omah Lay stated on the series of posts he made on his Twitter page, he was being arrested after an overwhelming performance in Kampala.

Interestingly, he wasn’t the only artist taken into custody. He was apprehended and cuffed alongside his colleague TEMS – a beautiful Nigerian singer and songwriter. She had gone for a performance at the same event as well.

Moreover, Omah Lay reveals that he and TEMS have tried all means necessary to secure their bail, but all efforts have been futile.

In the spirit of making an intervention, top Nigerian entertainers in the music industry such as Burna Boy, Davido and Don Jazzy have pleaded with the Ugandan government to pardon the young musicians and make a release. Thousands of fans across Nigeria have also aired their view regarding the issue, requesting that Omay Lay and TEMS get released as soon as possible.

Hopefully, the plea will be heard and considered, so that the artist can return to Nigeria.
