I Never Knew #EndSars Protest Was About Police Brutality – Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua said he never knew Endsars was a fight against Police Brutaility but thought it was a fight against Virus.

EndSars

Endsars protest started in Nigeria during first week of October and Joshua said he thought it was a fight against a virus severe acute resopiratory syndrome which also had the SARS acronmy.

Joshua in an interview with Punch Nigeria, said maybe because he had never been a victim of Police brutaility during his stay in Nigeria as he had never had any experience with the Special Anti-Robbery Squad SARS.

Anthony Joshua also jouned fellows celebrities around the world in the voice to support the #EndSars Movement, after millions of Nigerians youth across the country had gone to the street to protest and voice out themselves against the brutail activities of SARS operatives.

Extra-judicial killings, unlawful detentions, torture, extortion and various forms of abuses had become the main objectives and functions of the SARS officials, as withness and experienced by many Nigerians, most especially the youths.

The boxer made it know that he was aware only after his uncle called his attention to the ongoing protests and pointed out he had to search about SARS and read more of Nigeria History.

Anthony Joshua Speaking in an Interview with PUNCH said;

“I never knew what this SARS was all about during my stay in Nigeria: i never had any experience with SARS, when thr protest started, i thought SARS was like a virus, I didn’t know SARS
