Arteta’s Arsenal Can Finish This Season in The Relegation Zone – Alan Shearer




Ex- England International Alan Shearer revealed he would not be so sure about Arsenal’s survival in the Premier League at the end of the season as the team is only seating 4 points above relegation zone.

Mikel Arteta Arsenal Side have made their worst start to a season since 1974-1975 campaign as they lie 15th in the premier league table.


The Gunners have 14 points from 14 matches this season, managing to get wins and draws from 6 games and lost 8.

Alan Shearer was asked if he think Arsenal will stay up, and he replied

“I wouldn’t be so sure. Not with that starting team and the attitude of the players.”

Mikel Arteta Arsenal’s side are currently seating 4 point above the relegation zone after the 2-1 defeat to Everton.

The Gunners are still without an open goal play in any of thier past five premier league games away from home, and the club’s £72m record singing just scored his second league goal of the season from penalty spot, after 14 games played.

Alan Shearer added on Match of the Day:

“Awfu, no creativity, players going through the motion, they are not working hard enough as a team and not clossing down in anyway.

Arteta should be a worried man that’s relying on the players trying to save his job. With 12 goals all season, Arsenal have no options.

“Against Everton, Pepe was not fully prepared to get into the box, he was seen jogging, sometimes walking and this is why he has got to do more.”
