Chelsea were without the their centre-back for their 1-0 winning against Atletico Madrid in Romania, and the defender will remain to be sideline with a thigh injury despite featuring in the team training.

Chelsea Boss Tuchel, said: “He (Silva) did an individual session todag, on the pitch, and to me, it was a big progress and step ahead up front for him so i hope Thiago Silva will join the group next week.”

Havertz has missed four matches due yo knock before returning off the bench during the win in Romania against spanish side Atletico Madrid during the week.

Havertz has now missed seven games for Chelsea since joining the club on a record transfer. He will remain fit if his cameo confirmed to Tuchel that there are no fresh injury concerns ahead of United game.
