OYO CARNIVAL!! 3 Dead As Amotekun and Oyo Youths Clash On Carnival Ground.

Three person were found dead durinv a bloody calsh between the Oyo state youths and the South-West security Group popularly known as Amotekun.

The Amotenkun Operatives at Tapa town in Oyo State carried out the deadly operations during their attempt to stop the youths from starting a festive carnival which has been banned by the Government of the State.

According to the information reaching us, some members of the Amotekun operatives tried to stop the youths which resulted in stiff resistance by the youths.

According to a withness, he said;

“when the Amotekun group was trying to stop the youths from organizing the carnival, an arguement came up between the youths and the Amotekun outfit which made the youths to throw stones at the security officers(Amotekun)”

“Along the line, the security outfits started shooting at the youths and everyone nearby without hesitation, at the end we lost 3 persons who had now confirmed dead while many of the youths were also injured”.

“We also removed bullets from some people nearby, who did not even attend the bloody carnival”.

The Commander of Amotekun Crops in Oyo State, Col. Olayinka Olayanju (rtd), coundn’t confirm the incident as he was on his way to the riot place.

The Commander in his statement said;

“I am on my way. I am on my way to the place (Tapa). U cannot tell you anything noe until we investigate about the situation. I am on my way to the Place.

Meanwhile Dr. Olusola Ayandele who was once a former gubernatorial aspirant of All Progressives Congress APC in Oyo state condemned the incident as he described it as a siege on ibarapa land by some criminal elements, most especially the people of Tapa, Ignagan, Igbo-ora, Idere and Ayete Communities.
