Transiting from a life of education into the world of work can be a daunting for a lot of graduates. There are a lot to you need to adjust to, and you might still be worried about what you really want to do with your life. But never mind the challenge of becoming a millionaire in the next few years – this is always the dream of Nigerian fresh graduates.

On top of that, you need to think deeply and carefully about the career you want to embark on – that is the one you will enjoy and can progress in it quickly.
It’s important you know that graduate schemes are the best way to start off your career on a high earner at the beginning, as many companies both local and international offer graduates salaries of about #250,000 in Nigeria and £25,000 abroad in a year.

But if you’d find it hard to get on to the career ladder, it is advisable you pick up a part-time role for the main time while you hunt for job. But, if after doing all that and you’re really struggling to find any paid work, then don’t be afraid to sign up on job listing websites.

2. Be your own boss

The fastest method of becoming wealthy in your early or late twenties is to start a high-return and high-growth business with a strategic plan to exit within seven years or so.
Though, toying this part isn’t a guarantee that you’ll even make a penny, and the risk can often outweigh your other options of building a solid income.

So it’s very important you have a well-researched idea and a solid business plan before you starting out. Also, a clear or vivid picture of how you’ll sustain yourself when there’s no money coming in is a very important tip you must consider too.
Having known all this, there may never be a better time to start that business than as a graduate. Your responsibilities at this time are minimal and even if it all goes North you’ve got yourself a wealth of experience to build on and take forward in your life endeavors.
